I like to laugh and have a good time. But I have a serious side to me too. I am fiercely loyal to my family and friends and I'm not afraid to challenge anyone who threatens to hurt the people I care about. I can be tough but I'm a softy deep down. I'll stop and help a stranger in need and would do any and everything within my power to help a family member who needs it. I remember what manners are and expect the people around the woman I'm with to use them when it comes to how they treat her - I'm big on respect. I can be a romantic but I prefer to come up with original ideas rather than the typical champage and strawberries. I work on the north slope. Working 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Although this can be a 'negative' in some ways, there is also a positive side to it in that when I'm around I am all yours - this can translate to mean that I am a very attentive.

I enjoy traveling and thought for years that the only way to do it was by myself. I recently found out I was wrong about this and would like to find someone who likes to travel and explore new places. I don't always have an exact plan when I head out for a day or even multiple days adventure. As Yogi Berra said, "When you come to a fork in the road, take it". This I have done on numerous occasions and didn't regret it once. These are sometimes the best adventures of all. Not knowing where exactly you're going, but having one heck of a time getting there.
I'm quite new to Anchorage and know a very limited number of people here. I have been spending pretty much all of my free time hiking different trails(Bird Ridge was a bugger), mountain biking, camping and sightseeing. I am hoping to find someone who is as adventurous or more adventurous than I am. Come and explore with me. I can't guarantee anything but a laugh or two. I am full of humor, wit, sarcasm & sass and I like to share it with anyone who is nearby, as I am not a selfish person. So where do I begin, well I am a Texas boy stationed in Alaska, not by choice but the Army in all its wisdom feel I should be here. I am in the Army and love every minute of it. I know some don’t like soldiers but a man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. Yes I mean every word of that, that may be a little strong but if there is one thing, if you choose to find out about me is that I am bluntly honest, I will never lie to anyone even if it something they don’t want to hear. Yes I am divorced, I think when people see that they always wounder why and I do not mind telling anyone. My ex did not hold the same values as I do. So she decided to sleep in another guys bed while I was deployed. So I dropped her like picking up a hot plate with your bare hands. No one should have to be burned like that. If there is one thing I hate more than lying it is adultry or cheating, that is the biggest lie of all. I like college football and baseball. I grew up living by these words that my mom and dad told me every day "Don't wait for things to happen make them happen, and if someone ever tells you NO, remember NO doesn’t mean never it just means NOT RIGHT NOW. I have a very close family, who all live in Texas. If I had to pick 5 words to describe myself they would be simplistic, perseverance, honesty, family and the most important INTEGRITY, What am I looking for? I am looking for someone who believes in and lives up to the words you tell each other, and not just say them because they sound good and they are what the others want to hear. I love to work out, run, and swim pretty much anything that requires physical activity though my new favorite thing is Crossfit. I like cats and dogs though my schedule does not allow me to have either. I hate snakes and most reptiles; sorry if that offended anyone but the only thing snakes are good for is the rodent population, belts, boots or purses. I have tattoos and don’t mind if you do.
