I am a touchy feely affectionate person who enjoys being close and holding hands, not just while dating, but throughout the years. I find a relaxing soak in the tub together is a pleasant way to wind down from the day. I appreciate the small gestures, a warm embrace at the kitchen sink, playing footsie under the table, a flower picked from the yard, a text from you when we are apart, just to let me know you were thinking about us!

I am faithful, trustworthy and believe in long term, total commitment. My marriage lasted 19 years and it ending was not my idea. I am a believer and have a real relationship with God. That doesn't make me a prude or a bible thumper, but I do have morals. I believe treating a mate the way the Word describes creates and maintaines as strong marriage. I want to be with someone who shares this sentiment and knows that life lived that way doesn't mean a tie jacket no fun.
Being a designer, my home and property are important to me. My work is rewarding partially because it allows me to enrich the lives of others while being an outlet for what seems to be an endless supply of creativity. I love doing projects around the house and yard together as well as just listening to the rain on the metal roof, putting out corn then watching the deer and wild turkey graze in the front yard or enjoying a good movie cuddled up with you. Day to day life seems more complete with at least one fourlegged companion somewhere in the picture, most likely curled up with us.
A fun time might include grilling with friends, playing cards, taking in a concert, going to auctions, spending the day junking and antiquing or discovering hidden treasures perhaps overlooked by another. To me, a walk along the water, fixing a meal together, taking a road just because we haven't been down it before be it in a car or a giant 4x4, on a motorcycle or on horseback (a bit rusty on the last three but would enjoy either again) and singing songs along with the radio are some simple enjoyments.
I am a positive, self motivated person. My life could be described by some as having been too focused on work. I might agree and during the last several years many changes have helped me come to understand that no matter how much two people are driven and seem to have the same goals, honest communication is essential to maintain the relationship and it is the relationship itself that is paramount. Getting to any goal should be a journey where you both work hard, strengthening each other along the way. Weither you reach it or not is much less important than building and nurturing the togetherness that working closely with each other should bring.
I like to learn about new things and enjoy reading,going to a seminar,watching documentaries,HGTV,nova,animal planet and shows about traveling.I would like be with someone who could enjoy taking trips,perhaps do some "glamping" as it is called.I am a planner and though I don't mind an occassional spur of the moment outing,I much prefer to do the research,discuss it and then make the arrangements to do something.
