I've always been a people person... my friends mostly know me as the social butterfly. I get along with most people and have always had large groups of friends, although I'm just as happy just hanging out with one or two close pals. I'm a good listener, can be objective, but have the tendency to get (just a little) loud when I'm talking about something that excites me, oops. Other than that, I'm a go with the flow type person. This has helped me to be more relaxed over the years but unfortunately has helped me to become a very "last minute" person as well. Like my headline says, we're not perfect! Haha. Oh, and I'm pretty open minded and flexible- I'm willing to try most new things whether it's food, movies, vacation destinations, or activities. However, I'm not quite convinced I ever want to do bungee jumping.... but I'll watch you do it!
I have one son that is my world, of course, and couldn't imagine life any other way. I think he teaches me about life sometimes just as much as I have taught him. My other closest family members (my parents) live almost three hours away but we still maintain closeness. I'm an only child, but my cousins, aunts, and uncles are all very important to me and I always feel most at home when I'm around them. I deeply hope to meet the kind of man that holds friends and family as dear as I do.

I enjoy the excitement of new experiences and I still know how to have fun. I am an intelligent, responsible, attractive lady whom many assume just a sweet, affectionate lady from Italy or Spain. Though I am from South FL originally, I do not speak fluent Spanish, and I am unsure if I have any Italian roots at all, though I feel as though I may have been in a former life. ;)
The kind of guy that I tend to enjoy spending time with the most is one who is assertive, intelligent, and comfortable in whom he is. Though I am a great mother to my kids, and am a very care taking lady and love to do domestic things for family and friends, I will not make you pick up your socks or eat the vegetables I make. Just so we are clear on that. Oh, and by the way, a sense of humor is compulsory I think. I mean … what is life if you can’t have fun?
I tend to stay fairly busy with work and two wonderful teen age daughters that I love dearly, though I am looking for that special someone to share my life with. I love doing lots of things from hiking or attending sports events to taking in a show or new art exhibit. Another love I have is traveling and exploring new places. I have traveled abroad some in the past and especially love Italy and England. I would love to return and explore more of the EU as well as discover new places I have only seen on TV or read about. Lately, I frequent Atlanta, Huntsville and other places here in Alabama and Florida as time allows.

Being a Florida native, I absolutely love the ocean; therefore, I like to have some beach time each year. I enjoy walking along the shoreline, boogie boarding (though I am not great at it) and just being lazy and listening to the waves. Also the beach has its own beauty at night with the reflection of the moon and the gentle lapping of the waves. It can be quite relaxing as one sits and enjoys the atmosphere, especially with that special someone.
One final note is that I am new to this online services thing. Several of my friends have told me how well Match has worked for them, so I have decided to give it a try. I have 3 children, but only 2 are still at home. My son is in high school and has big plans for his future with great grades and a talented athletic ability I am sure he will be able to reach his goals... My youngest daughter has just started middle school and trying to find her way but has a kind heart and has a natural entrepreneur ability which I love! She will look for creative ways to make money like washing cars or dog walking. My oldest is 21 and has decided to venture out on her own and finding her own way... Well now a little about me... I am a Christian and strive to live my life everyday growing closer and more like Christ. I know without Him I am doomed for all eternity. I love to work outside and enjoy my time in the woods or at the farm. I don't have my own farm yet but have plans to maybe have a small hobby farm one day. We have a horse that I love and am working with him to be able to take to horse shows. My youngest has found her passion and wants to ride everyday!

I know that transparency can take time as a couple gets to know one another. I do believe in a certain chemistry and that after a few dates, it will probably be apparent whether to move forward in a relationship.
My Christian faith is central to the way I interpret life, which means that there is alot of life to be enjoyed! I am definitely energized by being around people and love relating with my friends and being close to them. Although, if I have a partner, I can be content just being with him and do not need people around all the time. I am in this life for the long haul and seek to stay healthy as much as is practical. Cooking and developing new healthy recipes is a hobby, although I used to do it for a living. I love getting in the kitchen and spending the evening listening to music, cooking, sharing wine,etc...you get it!
Cycling and other exercising including running, swimming, yoga, etc...are very important to me just because it makes me feel so good. I train as a triathlete but don't compete as one. Many of my friends are triathletes as well. I exercise most days of the week but do not necesarily need for my partner to do the same. I love to travel and have been overseas...Italy, Greece, Israel, Switzerland, Paris (it really is romantic), Scotland, Ireland. Beaches and the warmth of sunshine are a MUST on a semi-regular basis. I love Sanibel Island, beaches of Charleston and the Emerald Coast.
I have been divorced for about 3 years after a 24-year marriage but can say I have few regrets. I am very grateful for my 3 grown sons with whom I have a wonderful relationship. Any children of my partner would certainly be accepted and loved by me. I grew up in the Atlanta area and have 2 sisters and parents still living there. I try to visit often and my family would be very accepting of most anyone I would bring home. I am an Auburn grad, but have 2 of my three sons at Univ of Alabama (how did that happen?), so I guess you would say I have a house divided.
