Meet someone special from Scottsboro, United States. I believe I would not have gotten this far in life, had it not been for my sense of humor. I believe everyone must possess some humor! I think it is really "special" when we can Laugh at Ourselves!
I am really not sure what I am looking for in a relationship. I have been living alone, since 1988 with the exception of raising my last son, now 27.
I am very independent, and although I suffered a life changing experience in 2006, when I was run over by my own car, lol (see what I mean?) I can laugh at it now, but was not so funny at the time.
I was certainly not ready to stop working, I still miss it so much. I stay pretty busy on this computer though, as I have alot of tasks that I take on, daily. I spend about 6-8 hours a day if not more on here. Mostly Facebook, I really enjoy re-connecting with old school freinds, and musician freinds from California.
I am somewhat limited with my mobility, as I have 2 rods and 8 screws in my back, and was forced to go on disability as a result of the accident.
I do not plan on staying in this state. I do not care for it, and would most likely re-locate to either Louisiana, or maybe Oregon, as my best freind of 51 years lives there, and she and I are like blood sisters.
I honestly have never been to a site like this before, as I was never looking. But things do get lonely at times. Staying in my Apt. all the time is almost somewhat feeling like "Cabin Fever".
I have three grown sons, 2 in La. and one in NV.
Don't get to see them often. Only one is married with a family, the other two remain single.
Things that I am most passionate about, and serious about, is my writing. I love to write, and plan on finishing my book by the end of this year.
I am grateful to just be able to wake to another day, not knowing what it will bring., nontheless, grateful.
I am not a big "out doors" person. Although have been in the south since 1983, still have not acclaimated to the "Humidity" I dont see how these guys work out in it. I "hibernate" in the A/C in the hottest months of the year.
I am not a big fan of "Hunting" either, I know, Most guys around here hunt, but I hate the sound of guns going off before daylight. It definetely wakes me up!!
My first husband passed away in Oct. of 2011 so am awaiting documents to collect his SS benefits. Hopefully, that will get me out of debt, and I will be able to decide where to go from here.
My social life, used to be very outgoing. In Ca. and in La. However since my accident, my social life remains on here.
My freinds would probably decribe me as funny, outgoing, articulate, and open minded.
