Date men and women from Saraland, United States. whew, describe yourself --- I thought chinese arithmetic was hard. I'm a tall slender guy at 5'10" and tipping the scales about 140 pounds; no "spare tire" around the middle. The eyes are green and the hair is brown w/ sprinkles of grey-- the moustche is blonde ??? I'm a shy guy til I get to know you; always up for a good joke, even if it's on me. Born and raised here in the Mobile area; a teenager in the hippie area -- yep, I admit it -- I had a "drug" problem. My parents "drug" me to church, out to the garden to raise the veggies & taters, and out to the woodpile when my manners or respect wasn't up to par. I'm thankful for that everyday and wish today's kids could experience the same kind of "drug" problem. I'm an easy going low maintaince type of person, at ease in jeans or the tux & tie, any type or style function. Not looking for a nanny/maid person; my mom taught me to cook when I was 10 an my military service all the rest I needed to know. I like most movies; even the old black & white classics and really prefer the earlier actors and comedians to the new. College football, NASCAR, cooking on the grill, Discovery & History channels, Little League baseball & most professional sports. I can dance some(need lessons) and would love to learn how to play bridge. A great evening out would be spent at a Dinner theatre; had some acting roles in my youth. Sorry ladies, I seldom fish and don't hunt or ride a harley. I could never see shooting Bambi or catching Flipper. I do have a vice and it's antique cars. In the spring thru early fall, I travel through out the southeast to shows while I sightsee along the way. My travels has allowed me to meet and make friends people from all walks of life. I belong to a local car club and I'm very proud of our fund raising efforts for local charities.
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS are things that are important to me. I know that God has touched my life and that prayers do work. A christian lady in my life would be a welcomed addition. I have two grown sons who are as different as day and night; but I'm proud of them. No grandkids yet so I'll probably spoil yours. I have some good and loyal friends whom have stood by me through some rocky times. I feel that they are more valuable than gold or jewels; cause you can't buy true friends.
I would like to meet a lady who is kind, energetic, cares about her appearance & home, likes to laugh, has the support of her family and wants to build a relationship upon being friends first. Remember what Jimmy Stewart said in a movie " I know you love her but do you like her?" Hopefully, she will like to travel as well as stay home; cruises, the mountains in the fall and the beach in the summer. A glass of wine by the fireplace or hot tub, buttered popcorn w/ a good movie, a bowl of ice cream and a juicy steak/ seafood while entertaining friends; these are things I enjoy. Hope we can share each others interest, friends and family. I prefer coffee shops and cozy restuarants to the bar scene as a place to meet and get acquainted.
If you're into illegel drugs, physical confrontations, are untrustworty or can't trust, have mental problems, can't say "I'm sorry", or unwilling to talk to solve a difference of opinions; then please PASS on me. I've gone down some of those roads & do not wish to go again.
