I'm a fun-loving, open-minded gal who loves in be spontaneous. My faith and family are the two most important things in my life! I lead a very busy lifestyle, but I know how to find time for things that are important in my life. I'm a very independent person which has been a challenge in some previously attempted relationships.
My job is approximately 80% travel throughout the country, so I may be on the West Coast one week and easily on the East Coast the next. I've been doing this for about five years, and while it has had its ups and downs, I'm enjoying it. I also realize that I've been afforded the opportunity to enjoy a wide array of experiences which I feel have helped to make me well-rounded. I have been to 49 states with only Hawaii left to go. I WILL get there one day.
In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, family and pets. I really like being outside doing almost anything. I've started learning how to landscape, but that is still very much a work in progress. If time allows, I'll be out on the water in a kayak or hiking in the woods somewhere. Cooking/baking new concoctions (usually in the form of some type of cupcake) passes the time on a rainy day at home. Although I enjoy getting dirty in a t-shirt and jeans, I also enjoy the "finer things" in life such as a Broadway play or visiting a winery. I am up for trying anything once (okay - maybe I should say "almost" anything since I really hate spiders and will not do anything associated with those intentionally). I recently went skydiving for my birthday, and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I even convinced my mom (my marketing degree and sales experienced helped with convincing her) and a friend to go with me. Needless to say, when another opportunity arises, I?ll be there in a heartbeat. The thought had never really crossed my mind as something I wanted to do one way or the other until a couple of months before my birthday. Then, someone mentioned skydiving for the big 3-0 birthday (since a different friend had to reschedule for a girls' weekend at the beach), and just like that, I was jumping out of a perfectly good airplane! I'm also a HUGE Auburn fan (shouldn't surprise anyone that a gal from the South loves football)! WAR EAGLE!!!!
Over the past year, I have really tried paying more attention to what I feel works and doesn't work with people I've dated. I hope to find an open-minded Christian man who holds family and faith as two important factors in his life. As mentioned earlier, I am an independent person, so anyone in my life has to be understanding of that and realize that's just part of me. Due to the amount of traveling with my job, planning has to happen in my personal life too, BUT I love to be spontaneous at the same time. I'd love to meet someone who decides on Thursday evening that a weekend getaway to the beach, mountains, or wherever is on the agenda for Friday afteroon! I also love surprises, even though I'm notorious for trying to figure them out!
My last relationship was a three year long distance relationship. Although, not ideal, I learned quite a lot about myself and relationships (one being that communication is a huge MUST). It's great to have someone by your side that you can visit on a whim, but that's not always possible. I'm not opposed to trying something long distance if it comes along. I think my previous experience will help me be better prepared for what is required.
