While my true talent is appreciating the talents of others, I do enjoy a wide field of interests - I enjoy participating in our vibrant visual and performing arts community and while I'm an avid but somewhat casual listener of jazz and blues, I'm pleased to call some very talented local musicians "friends". One of the most gratifying things I do is produce an annual arts festival that celebrates our local arts community and introduces many people to new artistic experiences - especially our young community and their parents. I'm also very proud that Arts Alive! has helped stimulate and revitalize our downtown area as well.
I have two children -both somewhat grown up, but living on their own none the less - and a large extended family. All are very important to me, but not in an all-consuming way. While I value friendships and relationships, I count very few people as close friends.
I enjoy reading when my schedule allows. I especially appreciate a well constructed sentence. While I don't watch a great deal of television, I particularly look for programs written with wit and intelligence (such as Boston Legal, West Wing - of course Seinfeld).
I enjoy the whole experience of dining out - whether casual or fine dining. I truly enjoy cooking for myself and friends, entertaining at home and enjoying nights on the town. In fact, if I behaved better when I wasn't in the gym or on the courts -- I wouldn't have to go so much.
