In all honesty- I'm making a profile for myself because I was afraid either my best friend or my sister would make one for me!
I'm just a straightforward, what you see is what you get kind of girl. I'm honest, but maybe not to a fault. I'm the oldest of 4 kids, and my sibs would probably say I'm a bit bossy, but hopefully only when necessary. I like to laugh, but not so much at movies as at random funnies that happen in real life. I am a Christ-follower, but not always a very good one.
I'm an RN who works part time in a hospital setting most of the year, but in the summer I'm Camp Nurse Extraordinaire at a girls camp. I recently adopted 3 puppies, bringing my dog total to 5, which makes me feel a little like a hoarder... :-D I love to travel; last year I went on a 2 week road trip and flew across the Atlantic for the first time! I've recently started running, albeit slowly, but I enjoy it- and I'm training to run a half-marathon in May!
I would love to meet you! If, that is, you're a nice, respectable guy who shares my faith, who is honest and trustworthy, who appreciates his family as much as I appreciate mine, who enjoys not only going & doing new things, but also just hanging out by a fire or on the couch watching a movie. I have been self employed most of my work life. I'm a self starter and quite capable of doing most anything I put my mind to do.

Both of my dogs were rescued from the pound. For puppies, they are well behaved and very much loved!
I enjoy antiqueing, camping in my van, hiking, and horseback riding. I like gardening, though not so successful this year!
I do have a glass of wine on occasion. I don't do drugs and I don't smoke. I don't need any extra stimulus except good company to have a great time. Infact, I enjoy my own company and need some time to myself.
Reading is a valueable part of my life. I have a small library with a wide range of topics. I don't watch much TV. I like the nature, history and freespeech channels.
I am told my home is warm and welcoming. Well appointed with a mix of antiques,collectables, and comfortable furnishings. My guest compliment me on attention to detail.

I'm grateful to be healthy, have a job I love, and a comfortable home. I'm grateful for my loving family.
What makes me smile? My 3 grandkids sweet faces and their antics. My dogs at play. The beautiful area in which I live. Myfamily and friends. Sunsets! Puppy kisses...Kisses Mmmmm...
What I miss most in my life is romance. I like to have my dinner by candlelight and soft music too. Being kissed, really kissed...... Dancing with someone who has eyes only for me. Though I'm not the jealous type. I would appreciate a relationship that is respectful and honest.
I would like to travel with someone who has a sense of adventure. That it matters not whether we have a destination or reservation in mind. Just go with wild abandon!!!!!!
I am not looking for a knight in shinning armor, but if you are....more the better! Please know I am not afraid of the dark, monsters, or the Boogieman. I can take care of myself, besides I have a gun permit!
As for relationship, I am an open communicator and hope you are too. I'm passionate and a romantic. There's more to a relationship that the "paper fire". I am looking for an authentic man. One that is able to communicate his thoughts and feelings. Someone that is patient, kind, nonjudgemental, and compassionate. A steward of the earth, lover of animals, champion of children and little old ladies! A man with class, good table manners, and is socially at ease. A gentleman in all sense of the word! Date someone special from Alabama, United States. I am a laid back drama free kind of girl. I enjoy being outdoors. I love off-roading, going to SCORE races, camping, going to the river or beach. Basically anything outside, I want to be there. I really enjoy going to Baja. I think it is a beautiful country and I love their tacos. I go down at least once a year.
I listen to classic rock, my favorite band of all time is Pink Floyd. I do listen to all music, yes, even country. Music is always playing at my house. I work very hard and when I do have free time, if I am not camping somewhere, I will be in my garage listeneing to music and having a beer.
I like to cook and go out to dinner. I love cooking something new, drinking a glass of wine and listening to Frank Sinatra. I was a waitress for quite a long time so I also enjoy a nice meal out and being waited on.I can be a girly girl at times, but most of the time you will find me in jeans and a tank top. I can dress to impress, it is definately fun to do once in a while, but jeans just represent me a little better.
What I am looking for is someone that enjoys being outside as much as I do. If you are into off-road racing that is a huge bonus!! I love it. I am looking for someone that is family oriented. Over the past year I have made many changes in my life, one of which was to eat right and get active. I have lost weight (though I still have a few pounds to go) and am feeling good.
