I am fortunate in that I like what I do, but I am also protective of spending quality time with friends and those I care about. I enjoy both meaningful, heartfelt communication and having a lot of fun and joking around. I value my close friendships immensely, and I always enjoy meeting new and interesting people.
I just moved to Colorado a couple of months ago, and I have thoroughly enjoyed exploring this huge outdoor playground that is now in my backyard. The local running trails are fantastic, and I'm looking forward to exploring the mountain biking routes. I'm quickly learning that these interests come standard out here. So, check: I'm your standard Colorado outdoorsy guy (hiking, skiing, climbing, etc...) I really enjoy live music, especially bluegrass and classical, and I hear there are some great festivals in the summer here. I was lucky enough to do a lot of traveling in graduate school (I did a lot of field work for my research project), and I loved every minute of it. I hope to make all 7 continents someday (5 down, including Antarctica). I enjoy cooking, but I have a forgiving palette so I probably think my food tastes better than it is. I did grow up vegetarian (hippie parents), and am mostly a vegetarian now. I am slowly branching out to seafood these days, but that's as far up the food chain that I've gone.
I'm looking for someone who has has a passion for learning new things, and who also loves to relax and have fun. I'm interested in meeting and getting to know new people; if it becomes something else, so be it. I appreciate genuine conversation; a "flighty" personality is a huge turn-off to me.

Meet single man from Alabama, United States. I think the easiest way to describe me is to say that I am loyal and loving friend who is constantly looking for a challenge. I don't mean challenge in the sense that I want to be competitive (though I do have a competitive side), but I say challenged because I'm looking for that someone who pushes me to be a better man. Whether that is through our relationship, or through the drive to continuously learn about ourselves, I just want to know that the person next to me is there to see life with me shoulder-to-shoulder and isn't afraid to hold my hand and push me a bit when I need it, just as much as I would be there for her too.
I grew up here in Boulder and after 8 years in the Air Force and as a Consultant living in Los Angeles I finally found the opportunity to come home to the place I love most. Being the true Boulderite I am I am constantly active, I love to workout and go for a run or a bike ride. I love to try new things and explore, but it's definitely more fun to explore with someone else. At the same time, I also love those quiet nights at home, spending time together cooking and watching movies on the couch.
If anyone were to talk to my friends they would say that I am the type of person that knows when to be intense and push hard, but at the same time can be quiet and shy in other moments. They'd say I am very calm and relaxed and am one of the most loyal, caring, and giving person they have ever met.
When I look back on my life, I want to be able to say that I not only lived life, I did it to the fullest and to the best of my ability, which includes finding that special someone who wants to do the same. I hope that someone here doesn't take this challenge as something to be scared of, but rather as something that is exciting and an opportunity to grow with someone who will truly treat her with the utmost respect and care that she deserves. Believe me, chivalry isn't dead, so accept my challenge and find out just who I am.

Meet people from Alabama, United States. Well, let's see here, the basics? I have great friends, A job that I don't actually hate, but that I just wish I didn't have to go to. I love Colorado and have no problems calling this beautiful state home. However, I want and will travel someday. I've never been to a "tropical paradise" so that will be a definite destination on my list. I'm looking for someone who wants to try new things. Someone who is not afraid to be themselves, and would just want to see where things could go. I love most animals, ferrets though kind of creep me out but I can learn. Kids are awesome (they give me a reason to be a little childish every now and then, and seriously who doesn't like watching the occasional Saturday morning cartoon.) Meet a soulmate from Alabama, United States. Thousands of miles away from home, I'm staring down at an untouched wilderness from high above. Glistening lakes, snowcapped mountains, and forests fill the horizon with overwhelming beauty. As our helicopter crests the mountain, I hear the chorus of barking and see what has drawn me there. Tucked on the right side of the glacier, surrounded by sparkling white snow, is the sled camp. My heart pounds as the adrenaline surges through my veins in anticipation of what I am about to do: fulfill another one of my life-long dreams. Dog sledding in Alaska was one of the most thrilling highlights in all my travels.
Whether it's sledding in Alaska, privately taking in the ancient "ceremony of the keys" in London, or digging my toes in the sand in St. Thomas, I love to explore the world. I guess it's the kid in me that pushes myself to seek out new and diverse experiences. I'm grateful to have a good job that affords me the opportunity to fulfill these desires. However, my time off is usually spent having a cold beer at the bar with friends, traipsing after that little white ball around the golf course, soaking in the sun outdoors, or cheering for one of my teams on the tube. Another favorite is letting my 80lb lab (who thinks he's still a puppy) take me for a walk. I also enjoy spending time with my family (though they are spread around the east coast), especially the time spent with them relaxing, indulging in a delicious meal, and simply having some laughs.
I'm looking for a sweet, caring, good hearted girl who is up for an adventure or twelve! She must enjoy the occasional joke or sarcasm and have a smile that lights up the room.
