I don't think starting a relationship based on anything written on a short profile could be successful at first; as I see it, you have to start as friends anyways, that’s when you really learn about someone. Expectation between essentially strangers leads to the requirement for false fronts, which confounds anyone’s efforts to find out if someone is right for the "serious commitment" step. So, with that in mind, I'm just looking for friends here. To be clear, that's friends WITHOUT benefits. The rest will come naturally. In the long term, I want to find a woman with the ability to be a teammate and partner, the ability to be happy within what life gives her, and her ability to be best of friends with someone she will also probably really hate at times. It is all very simple.
About me: I'm eclectic, I take pride in knowing a little about lots. I have a sense of humor; I love playing off of people to make them laugh. I presently live well below my means; it doesn't take much for me to be happy, things only weigh one down anyway. I am good at discussing, and rarely argue. I am fair and honest. I take very good care of my body (though the pics above span several years, the one with me in the tan flight suit is the newest). I am very affectionate but that has to be proven. I am artistic and philosophical at times. I think the "long walks on the beach" fantasy is a waste, when the most fun can be had running width-wise towards the surf.
