My friends would describe me as witty, caring, fun-loving, and spontaneous. I would do anything for my friends and family, they are the most important people in my life. I was brought up in a Christian home to be respectful, to think of others before myself, and most importantly to be honest.
Being Southern born and bred has very much influenced my taste of men. I guess what I really crave is that typical southern gentleman. The kind that will open every door for you, say "ma'am" and "sir" to your parents, makes you laugh all the time, that isnt afraid to work for a living, and goes to church on Sunday. Someone who knows the importance of family, and treasures time spent with them. Someone who is genuine, doesn't shy away from responsibility, who is honest, and not afraid to be wrong. Someone who I can love and give all of myself to, and who can give themself to me wholeheartedly. I am tired of settling and I am going to find a man that I deserve, and that deserves me.

Random about me.... ive loved and lost-thus this whole match thing-, i dont know how many books ive started reading but never finished, i love going to the beach alone and watching the sunset-its an amazing site to watch the sunset in san diego ca-,i have to sleep with a fan on even if its -10 outside, sometimes i just drive around for the fun of it to be able to just be alone with the music on, i used to work in a bar so ive heard all the lines and its always nice to hear new ones, red bull kept me alive while i worked at the bar bc i was also at the credit union then and lived off of 3hrs of sleep a day, im starting to get into wine so if you know of a good wine i should try email me, ive been told im funny but i really dont try to be ppl just dont know when to take me serious,i do so many things on the spur of the moment, i ask too many questions and i want to find someone who i click with.....and last but not least i have a problem with guys who fall in love with me really soon and saying i love you and then it falling threw obv so if you think you are interested all i ask is that you dont do that bc im lookin for somthing thats going to last....thanks xoxo

I’m a southern girl; Bama is the only place I have ever called home (Roll Tide!!). I have an amazing family that I spend time with on a daily basis (life is boring when they aren’t around!). I have a small circle of close friends that have been a part of my life since we were crazy middle school kids; they are pretty much family to me. I am a middle school teacher and currently enrolled as a graduate student at the University of Alabama. I think I have a pretty wonderful life!
Being outdoors is one of my favorite things! My best weekends are spent sitting around the campfire with my favorite people. Since we typically build fires down by the pond, there is usually some fishing going on. Fishing is good…as long as I can get somebody to bait the hook (I’m not touching live bait!). I enjoy camping, hiking, and road trips to the beach….or anywhere else you might want to go. I have two dogs and would rather be sitting out in the swing with them than pretty much anywhere else. Another favorite of mine is music! I’m a country and classic/southern rock kind of girl. I love old vinyl records and have a huge collection of them (my favorites being Lynyrd Skynyrd, Waylon Jennings, & Steve Miller Band). My dad taught both me and my brother to play guitar. Honestly, I’m terrible at it! My brother is a pretty awesome guitar player and I spend a good bit of my time traveling around to hear his band play. Although I do occasionally spend time at some bar/music venue type places, I’m not a party girl. Also, I’m not much of a drinker and definitely not a smoker! I also love watching college football! Some of the best memories from my childhood are game days with my family down in Tuscaloosa. Some other things I enjoy are: chick flicks (Dirty Dancing & Man in the Moon), shopping, flip flops, curling my hair, expensive sheets, flowers, and anything that sparkles.

I'm a mother, office administrator, and writer/book blogger. Most of my hobbies include my kids--I coach youth basketball & soccer, love visiting museums, theme parks, being outside.

A few other things about me:
1.) I prefer neat over cluttered. I'm not talking OCD levels of cleanliness, but I make up in housekeeping what I lack as a chef.
2.) I subscribe to National Geographic, Southern Living, and Sports Illustrated magazines so that visitors will think me diverse and in-the-know about all things from solar super storms to blackberry cobbler and the NBA playoffs, but the only magazine that I read cover to cover is Entertainment Weekly--partly because of their book and movie reviews and partly to gawk at the trashiness of the likes of Snooki & all those Kardashians.
3.) The last book I read was "Fried Zombie Dee-light!". An interview with its author landed me the opportunity to write an article on science fiction and fantasy for a book publisher's website. It was a dee-lightful experience.
4.) I am ALL ABOUT the current zombie craze and have even presented programs to teens about zombie awareness/survival at my local university and public library. All in fun. I don't believe there will ever be a real zombie plague--but, if there is, I AM this area's most prepared future survivor!
5.) The last concert I attended was Alison Krauss & Union Station April '12. Zombies and Bluegrass. Guess I am diverse afterall. Time to cancel all those dang magazine subscriptions!
6.) I make a cup of coffee every day to drink at my desk and sometimes never take a sip of it. I think the idea of drinking coffee is more appealing than actually consuming it. The same is true for me when it comes to wine.
7.) Something I know how to do that I wish I didn't: replace the belt on a Cub Caddet lawn mower. (Sadly, I can also replace the pull chord on a weed eater.)
8.) Something I wish I did know how to do but don't: play the fiddle. Sent my kids to violin lessons for a year in order to live vicariously through them, but they gave it up before even learning a single chord of "The Devil Went Down to Georgia." Kids these days!
