Date someone special from Indian Springs, United States. Fun, loving, quirky lady enjoying life. I am inspired by individuals who live life to the fullest. I believe life is too short to focus on the negatives... learn from mistakes and grow as an individual. I enjoy my family and friends, my precious babies, my work, and hobbies.
Meet a soulmate from Indian Springs, United States. I am the average woman, 134/5'5, well rounded- work full time-
I live close to Birmingham, Al, I have lived in this area for just about 2yrs.
Grew up on the coast, always go home for the beach and Mardi Gras.
I have a job, house, dog, cat, car and kids... like most people. I stay pretty active, run several times a week and even have a gym membership. I am an early morning person, news watcher, and coffee drinker. I recently bought a tent, going to try camping.
I have been all over the world, I know after about 4 hours on a plane my feet are swelling. I prefer sunny days!
For me there MUST be a mental as well as a physical attraction.… Not a Hopeless romantic rather hopeful.
The guy for me has to have personality, Quick wit, can hold his own with banter, and smiles often.
You only live once, I don't want a person who is borring or closed minded, or not willing to do or try new things.
I watch very little TV, (Dexter, NCIS, TRU TV, crime shows, Americas Funniest Videos and History TV)
I have been divorced for over 7 years, Please do not contact me if you are married.
I have several brothers so my hobbies and habits are all over.... I enjoy baseball and will watch basketball, always make an extra effort to be able to watch football. I don't know much about hockey- although I have been to a game, I understand Golf.... it doesn't really interest me- but I can drive and take score .....I can fish, I would hunt, I can scuba and skydive, and rollerskate. I would love to learn to play a musical instrument, and want to take martial arts classes.
I cook too...I do that because I get hungry. I love all types of food, BUT my favorite type of food is cooked for me! ;-)
RULE: If you cook, I will clean. I also believe poptarts are not junk food if you eat them before noon, they are breakfast.
I enjoy vacations like the next person, but I'm not in a place in my life to say I can be some travel partner, unless it's a weekend or an actual "vacation", because I have a regular job and commitments-- I will look foward to that carefree dreamy life once I retire.
I have had a membership on this site for a while, and no real connection- Maybe it's because I don't LOVE nascar, or 4Wheeled trucks.
I joined this site like everyone else, I work and I don't want to date anyone at work. I don't hang out in bars, or having kids, I don't do as many adult things as I would like.....so if you have read this read far, email me ..... Lets have lunch, coffee or something creative outside of the "norm"......
Date someone special from Alabama, United States. I'm expressive and I now know I am most compatible and happy with a liberal expressive person. You don't have to cry every time the sunsets to be expressive. But talk to me when something is bothering you. And please listen, BUT, If I'm talking about something that bores you just SAY SO. That's cool. But don't pretend or I may go on for hours. LOL.
Men and women are different. "communication" for women is different than "communication" for men. I believe we see and interpret the world differently. Men want to fix a problem. Women, more often, want to talk about it, then maybe we'll fix it or maybe we will approach it some other way. So much can be fixed with saying "sorry". Because sometimes it is the thought that counts.
Recent major surgery, hysterectomy, working off the weight after 5 -- sedentary years studying in law school and for the bar exam. (yes that is longer than it is supposed to take). So exercise (gotta work off a stomach and a big butt) and work are my two new priorities
but looking for a person to go out with, hiking, exercise, talking about everything: religion, poverty, politics, ethics, meaning of right and wrong.
I've been separated for 10 years; and he and I have a friendly supportive relationship. We love our daughter and she is away at college. She as tamed three wild Mustanges from the BLM. So we have some horses.
My sense of humor is sarcastic and I don't get offended easily unless you just really try hard.
So, I want to start the second part of my life with some new friends or someone special who is cautiously spontaneous. I like my routine but I like an unexpected adventure also. Cheap or expensive hotels, drive to a new place without plans. Sitting at an airport bar and meeting new people who are traveling places. Hearing stories of their lives. Really talking. I'm kinda quirky and a little zanny. My job can be stressful especially since my career is just beginning. I need a break and a diversion from too much reality.
My last two favorite hotels were Royal Inn in La Grande Oregon, $45/night and Pensacola $475/night. It's about who I'm with. I DONT watch TV. But that doesn't mean I can't watch 4 hours of HBO's The Wire on DVD or the Good Wife. But regular CABLE hell, no. I don't think I have ever watched more than 20 minutes of football and I think I was drunk that time (Alabama Auburn 1992).
I love my daughter and also enjoy other people's children. Especially high school age kids, in my next life I want to be a high school counselor --
I think my friends would say I am a good listener and a fiercely loyal friend. I hope that is true.
Music saves my day, here is a range of interests
Tom Petty, Marylin Manson, Rage Against the Machine, Slip Knot,
Verdi, Bizet, Mozart, Hank Williams, Tupac. Led Zepplin,
Johnny Cash, Mel Tillis, Elton John, The Cars, Henry Rollins Band,
George Jones, Black Flag, Unbroken, local bands and concerts in dank hole in the wall places.
I DON"T LIKE CRAP RAP not because it's vulgar but b/c it all sounds the same, to me. There is no imagination in it.
FUN: A shot of tequila and a Guinness Draft in the afternoon in a small local bar in a new city. Conversation with the locals.
Went to Manhattan in 2000 and spent the morning in a local laundromat. Started talking to a woman who immigrated from Bavaria 30 years earlier. We spent an hour playing a game of clues till I could guess which country she was from. THAT was a cool day. and FREE :-)
Empty flattery shows an anterior motive. imo
Saying what I think I am is not reliable. Everyone seems to think they are fun, kind, compassionate, loving, good listeners and giving. Al Capone thought he was a humanitarian --- I believe these traits depend on the person I am with & are best discovered over time. I strive for these qualities but who knows....
Brand names are a waste of money
Everything sounds so cliche here.
Can't write this stuff.
Meet someone special from United States. I am a Christian and practice my faith strongly but I'm not fanatical and won't push it on you. ABOUT ME: caring, compassionate, strong, a good listener, friendly, believe in smiling, laid back, non-judgemental, love to laugh, optimistic, hate unnecessary drama, and I aim to enjoy life regardless of the obstacles. I enjoy socializing with friends every chance I get or spending one on one with a friend. I also enjoy meeting new people as well. Things that make me laugh out loud are people who can laugh at themselves and don't mind if I laugh with them. My ideal relationship would be with one who is easy going, has great morals and values, endearing, compassionate, values family, considerate, not jealous (well maybe a wee bit), honest, respectful and definitely a Christian. Communication is big with me. I like to talk about everything. So talk to me. It can be about anything, I don't care. Versatility is important - someone that can be comfortable in any social setting, be it very classy or simply country down to earth. I aim to always do the right thing and be the person my family will be proud of. I am very passionate when it comes to children, especially those that are mistreated. I believe in doing good things and helping people along the way. I don't want to leave this world without making a difference in someone's life. Otherwise, what was my purpose?
