I know this is the South (born here) and people don't usually talk this way but I promise I'm not the antiChrist ;) To me, the purpose of life is to live, learn and love. It's that simple and that's how I try to live. The Golden Rule, no matter where it comes from, is my guiding principle. I'm easygoing and (as you can see) irreverent. My sense of humor is inappropriate on occasion, I just can't seem to help it... Politically I'm a liberal (we'll talk politics and religion at your own risk).You can add tree-hugging to that too. Even though I cut a dashing figure in a tux, I try to avoid formal events and will do my best to leave early and help you out of that little black dress. I sometimes ignore social rules because I don't always see the point in them. If we click you'll have a pet name sooner or later. I walk/jog/exercise regularly. I've been divorced 13 years and my emotional baggage is checked.. I love to make things, consider myself a handyman and an outside of the box type creative person, I even write poetry. I've got a cat but would also like a human lap cuddler. My dream is to retire to "a house in the woods by a stream", draw/craft/sculpt/write and play with you. I very rarely drink and am not averse to Mother Nature. While I can carry on a conversation with the best of them I suck at chitchat, I much prefer a meaningful discussion. She loves the outdoors, cats, walking, camping, compliments, leftfield/dark/oddball comedy and is a bit of an experience junkie. She understands and laughs at me being completely clueless on occasion. (I AM clueless on occasion) She provides motivation and advice when I need it and accepts it back when she does. She'll never get tired of hearing "I love you" and can feel the love in the room when we are sitting silently together. She'll find the method to my madness and laugh through life with me. She isn't material and values substance over symbolism. She can recognize BS more often than not and knows when to laugh, cry or do something about it. If you are seeking a conventional mate and life, I'm probably not your guy and I can't believe you read this far! I have a 32 year career working as a Project Manager, Civil Engineer, for the Army as a Civillian. I am not a typical boring Engineer, I played College Football at Tennessee Tech University, I believe I was the only Engineer Major on the team.
