My first job out of college was in the adventure travel industry. I lived in Costa Rica for about 10 years and took groups of tourists, rafting, sea kayaking and mountain biking for a living. It was a tuff job, but I figured somebody had to do it and it might as well be me. Great experience, learned to speak Spanish and Portuguese, became a pretty good surfer and enjoyed being completely immersed in a new culture. Great people, great food, especially the fruit, and saw some truly amazing things in the wild.
After a close call on a first decent kayaking trip, I decided it was time to come home to the U. S., and get a real job. So I came back to the states, did an 18 day raft and kayak trip down the Gran Canyon, got a haircut and a real job. Have been working as a Technology Sales Consultant, ever since then. Have a great job in an interesting field for a great company, and I still have enough free time to travel and do the things I loved to do. I am also an amateur photographer and writer and if I could make a living doing those two things, I would be willing to take a big pay cut. An ideal vacation for me would be going to a new and exciting place, and doing some really fun things.

Which means that I am kind of a modern Nomad, however I sleep in condos and nice hotels and not tents in the desert.
Who am I, I am extremely passionate about my career, music, good wine, tasty drinks and weekend escapes. I am known to play an instrument from time to time, I sing karaoke if the venue is right and the atmosphere is good, and OK, if drinks are available, and I am known to write as well. If that last line has you rolling your eyes, don't worry, I also drive fast, well at times LOL, function my best at light speed with my hair on fire, don't back down from any challenge and can be a prankster at times, you know the fun kind that is impossible to hate. I love taking the boat out to one of the barrier islands for a fun and relaxing weekend, there is just something about stepping out onto the sand, feeling the warmth surround your feet, then after enjoy the warmth of the sun for a while, walking into the cool and soothing water to cool off a bit. Ending the day with a little fire on the beach, maybe a bottle or two of chilled wine and cooking some fresh seafood while watching the sun slowly sink into the sea off to the west, then laying back on a big beach blanket and watching as the stars slowly blanket the sky. There is something very amazing and peaceful about sleeping out on the boat, the slow rocking of the waves putting you to sleep and then waking to the smell of fresh coffee brewing and hearing the gulls overhead that just starts the day off in a magical way.
What else, I grew up on the coast and live on the coast and I have a deep love of the ocean. I think eventually I will just buy my own island in the tropics and build a tree house. Maybe not a lean to, but something from Swiss Family Robinson. I hope to retire early and travel the coast and tropics in sailboat discovering all there is to see and do.

My main interests are the performing arts, but mostly I enjoy the night life when people have their guard down. I grew up sailing boats on Lake Erie and still seek water of any kind. Allergic to horses, but owned a few once and still love to ride them.
