Hello my name is Todd I am giving this internet thing a try I've been single for a while and have dated but it just seems hard to find genuine people these days, Everyone seems to have ulterior motives you know? I work in the Maritime industry (Missisippi River Pilot) which takes up a great deal of my time but when I'm off I'm totally off so I generally work month on month off so It has it's rewards, I like to stay pretty active when I'm home either doing stuff around the house, Exercising, Riding the Harley, Traveling or sometimes just making a big batch of my Famous Margarita's and firing up the grill with the neighbors. I do enjoy going out occasionally to bars or concerts at the Wharf. I grew up in the country for a while and lived in big cities as well so I'm as comfortable in a suit for a night out as I am in khaki shorts and a polo.
I have a beautiful daughter named Remy-Marcelle, She lives in New Orleans and I see her quite a bit as I work mainly in New Orleans so I try to spend as much time as I can with her, I enjoy cooking and making cocktails for company what can I say I'm a New Orleans boy. I'm a Spanish teacher of six years now and I find education both challenging and rewarding. I have always felt it was my calling so to speak and I have decided to persue an advanced degree. I also enjoy giving tennis lessons on the side as a part-time professional. I'm close to my family, especially my parents. I have a lot of friends who would probably describe me as honest, fun, intelligent, generous, polite, thoughful, approachable, active in a physical sense, and laid back in personality. But I've been told I'm a bit spoiled and preppy-ish. Aren't we all about some things??? I like to work hard and sometimes play hard. I am old-fashioned when it comes to relationships as well as the way I treat others. I open doors for others, say please, thank you, yes/no ma'am/sir when necessary, and lend a hand when possible.
I really enjoy cooking, food, a good glass of wine and an ice-cold IPA. This past year or so, I've been working on some great authentic Mexican and Indian dishes. Though I have bunch of other favorites that don't fit into these two categories. I enjoy dining out too. I would probably fish every day of the year if I could. To relax, I like to hit the couch and watch TV. Good comedy reruns still make me laugh. The Hangover, Dodgeball, and The Jerk just to name a few and only because each of them was on recently. I like watching Conan, and I'm addicted to The Walking Dead. No, I'm not getting anything for plugging these. I enjoy a little bit of many genres of music excluding rap and hip-hop. Live music is great but one has to limit oneself to concert-going. Recenty, I have seen Rabert Earl Keen and Leftover Salmon as they are both out touring and pushing new albums. No, I'm not getting anything for plugging them either. I wish I could travel more. In addition to seeing more of Mexico and South America, I would go to Maine every year in the summer. The lobster is that good and everywhere you go up there is just like the postcards. I enjoy staying local too. I have always made it a point and get out and road trip when I can to visit some of the beautiful places near where I live. Kayaking is fun as is boating. Bascally anything on the water suits me.
Soon I will be moving back to what I consider home, Gulf Shores, AL. I have enjoyed my time in B'ham, but miss my family, friends, and the water there. As I said in the beginning of this, almost everything has fallen into place now. I'm just lacking a companion.
