career in high technology engineering management. I
now mostly tele-commute from my mountain "retreat" (
rustic log cabin!) that is away from the daily commute
and smog and I was lucky to get out before the bust! (smiles)
For leisure, I'm open to try just about anything that
someone is passionate about, but I tend to prefer more
outdoor-oriented days and easy social evenings.
I enjoy biking (mountains road), wine-tasting (love
the Sonoma valley), boating and water sports,
exploring new restaurants (any type), throwing dinner
parties (love cooking together).
My ideal match would be an open, effective communicator,
in love with life as I am. Honest, trustworthy and sensual.
You would enjoy snuggling, be a *great* kisser, and be open
to physical touch and adventures anywhere but especially hiking
the great outdoors, camping, the beach and the mountains.
(I don't seek a mountain climbing woman per se).. the outdoors in
my life is balanced with love of museums, art and fine

Date a soulmate from United States. I have to be honest ... many of the profiles I see include dancing and golf as "interests". I tried to get into golf after I retired, but it just didn't do anything for me - though I suppose I could be your caddy and enjoy that "good walk, spoiled". As for dancing - it ain't a pretty sight, I even took a session of ballrom dancing lessons at one time. I wanted to be able to dance with my daughter and my late wife at our wedding. There's a commercial for one of the on-line dating services that says something like "you would have to practice to be that bad" ... that's me. If either of these would be a "show-stopper", then I guess I'm not your guy.
I am in good health, financially stable, and the only "baggage" I come with is three beautiful Grandchildren :-)

Looking for a fun companion for dinner in the city, or a show or concert, a travel companion for a trans-Canada rail tour, European riverboat cruise, Alaska glacier cruise. Seems to me that things like that are meant to be enjoyed WITH someone.
I visit Yellowstone Park every summer for a week of photography and fly-fishing, and plan to as long as I am healthy enough to wade a stream and swing a fly rod. Care to come along, it's a fabulous place?
I am not an exercise fanatic, but I am reasonably fit, and I try to get in at least a couple miles on my bike every day.
An ideal evening at home would be grilling a steak or a salmon filet on the patio, snuggling under a blanket with a bowl of popcorn watching a good classic movie, or a good red wine (and maybe a dark chocolate truffle) while soaking in the spa. Your choice, depending on the season and the weather.
An ideal evening out would be a nice dinner at a good restaurant in Napa or The City.
An ideal week-end get-away is a top-down drive over to the north coast - Bodega Bay up to Point Arena or Ft.Bragg/Mendocino.
