I have a group of friends that have been part of my life for many years. After the death of my husband, I realize how much life and my friends mean to me. My family is very important to me, especially my grandson and all of the people that share my life. I have lived in the south all of my life and I really do like all things "southern" especially in the way I am treated. My husband had been in banking for 35 years and I had worked for the government so our social life was very full and active. I have traveled to Europe and out west several times, but there is no place like the South. I enjoy doing fund raising for our local hospital, college ,and other worthwhile organizations. I enjoy being outside fishing, going to the lake or beach or just sitting out side by the pool. Auburn football games are also a great place to be. Great backyard cook-outs can be as much fun as a 5 star restaurant with the right people, or person. I hope to find someone that shares my love for life and joy in living life, plus would enjoy and like to help others also. I would love to find someone that is just as comfortable at a black tie fundraiser as he is at a lakeside party fishing and cleaning and cooking fish (I make GREAT hushpuppies). I love to cook when I have someone to cook for that likes to eat. My peach cobbler is famous and so are my oatmeal cookies and fried chicken.
