Date a man from United States. After months of resistance, I'm finally going to take a friend's advice and give this match thing a shot. My real hesitation is that I have never been the type of guy to start dating someone after having just barely met them; usually takes me a bit of time getting to know a girl that grabs my attention to really become attracted to her.
I think my approach to this will be on the lighthearted side in hopes of being pleasantly surprised. I'm a fairly easy going guy, easy to get along with, easy to have a conversation with if we have a few things in common or a common interest... and if you appreciate a partially dry sense of humor.
If it is really exciting, really challenging, really funny, really scary, tastes really good, really cold, really hot, really wet, has an awesome guitar riff, goes really fast, involves a moderate amount of pain with only a slight to moderate risk of permanent damage, or is REALLY relaxing, peaceful, and full of tranquility, or some other extreme or combination of extremes, count me in. Then again, there are times when just kicking back at home and taking it easy are exactly what is needed. I LOVE board games... speaking of which, there are several things that really get my adrenalin flowing: snow skiing, mountain biking... and board games, among others. I think one of the best ways to get to know a person is by introducing them to something new. I really enjoy trying things out for the first time and I've got all the patience in the world for someone who wants to learn or try something that I enjoy.
I don't necessarily look for specific qualities but I hope to find a very loving girl who is comfortable and happy with who she is and is a confident person. I am not trying to find someone exactly like myself. Ideally, I would like to be in a relationship where we have some similarities, but also differences that compliment each other well. Elegance, a sharp intellect, generosity, sincerity, a great smile, a sense of adventure, willingness to learn and grow as a person, and the ability to shake it out on the dance floor don't hurt either. I must admit, I am a sucker for the quiet and reserved ones who are absolute sweethearts with a hidden sense of adventure. That is kind of how I would describe myself to be honest. I definitely do not have an overwhelmingly obnoxious personality and I shy away from those who feel the need to impose themselves constantly. However, when I'm around people I know and trust, we are going to have a good time, even if it has to be at my expense... and it often is.
I should probably also mention that I'm an engineer; not because I'm boring, but because I'm smart... let's just say, calculating gratuity is never a problem and I can probably figure out what that weird sound is that your car is making. Just keep in mind that I have a healthy and active lifestyle. I am a healthy eater and I avoid the greasy stuff... cuz splatters really hurt while cooking when not wearing a shirt.
Here is the catch, I live up in Cottonwood (b/t Sedona and Prescott). I have a lot of friends down in the valley so I am down there frequently, but I prefer to visit the big city, and I'm still not convinced that I want to live there (even though I already have). But I'm not tied down where I am and luckily my career is relatively mobile if need be. So, if you don't hit your head on the ceiling fan in heels, can tolerate or like '90s music, and smiled at any of what I had to say, I'd be happy to hear from you and make the drive down to the valley. Meet a soulmate from United States. Ok! Lets try this again. I was born in California but came out here to Arizona a few years back cause the job hunting in Cali wasn't going so well. A few days here and I landed a gig. Stayed in Cottonwood for about a year, then joined the Army and left AZ for Fort Benning, Ga on 14 June 2007 . Came home in June 2010 and have started school the following semester and have been doing that sense. Im going to school for Helicopter piloting and Business Management, soooo much of my schedule is fairly loaded. I do have 2 children that I have never meet. The circumstances of that are very easy explainable if asked about. Now I am a husky guy (kind of a bulldog frame) but I do enjoy my veggies. Just discovered Thai cooking and I freaking LOVE IT! I enjoy working but my crazy school life has been keeping from that lately but I have every intention in going back to the gym. Currently in the works of prepping a garden for the Spring in 2012. I do love to laugh and the ladies in the office of the school I attend have nicknamed me Smiley. Be warned, I will make a fool out of myself in public areas if I think I will make someone smile =) I have embarrassed friends that can vouch for that.
What I would like to find in a mate is just your basic good woman. Honest, loving, loyal, strong and intelligent chick that isn't into playing games. She would have to have a good idea about her life to be and does what she can to make that happen. As far as physical appearance go, Im a BIG lover of the red hair, green eyes, pale white skin, with freckles....However I will it really just depends. You can be hot as hell but if you have the personality of a tuna can then we don't need to mingle not to say that Ill hook up with an ugly chick. Im not really into the make up gal. I like the plain Jane look myself. I would perfer her to be an animal lover but who didnt have cats. Im not really into someone who smokes.
