Meaningful relationships are marathons aren't they? Pretty cool actually, we are good friends and involved in our kids lives. They all live in Maryland and so I visit (or they do) every few weeks. I love living on the water in Slidell but miss my kids. So, on to dating again and hope that i will find true love.
My first daughter is dancer, pianist, and artist. She is now finishing college and wants to be a psych.. I love her independence and artsy qualities. My second daughter is a socialite and my fashion adviser (main picture). She is the only one in the house that is willing to say, "dad, you don't match" so we go to malls. She is set on leaving the house when she turns 21 next year. She is a great person who would take in any stray person or animal who needs help and works in a childcare. My last one, my 16-year-old son is my PMS savior. We used to go do anything during that one week a month when the girls were being crazy. He now plays guitar better than most anyone I know and wants to be a scientist if the world is not ready for a white Hendrix. Weird how the same parents can raise such different people. But they all have perfect values. :)
My main interests are the performing arts, but mostly I enjoy the night life when people have their guard down. I grew up sailing boats on Lake Erie and still seek water of any kind. Allergic to horses, but owned a few once and still love to ride them.
I love going to NASCAR, IRL, and Rock concerts with my son, but also like going to Broadway shows with my girls. I'm an artist and an inventor interested in many things (painting, cooking, horses, sailing, architecture, technology, etc.)...sort of a polymath.

Date single man from United States. I’m a single father of two beautiful daughters ages 12 and 9. I have been raising them on my own for almost three years now and so far it has been quite a ride!! No matter what happens during the day, and there is always something, a bad grade, mess untended, a chore half-done, spat with sister, whatever, the last thing I hear before turning out the light at night is “I love you Daddy”. It pierces me every time and all is right with the world. Keeping them on track has been a challenge but I’ve been told I’m doing a good job. I hope so but, being a former Marine, I’m a little rough around the edges and I’m not always sure if I’m guiding them to a successful future. There are occasions when I call my mom (not my dad) for advice who raised us four to adulthood with good educations and all our body parts intact. My dad by the way would say something like “Well, did you feed them?” To which I’ll say “Yes sir, and they know when to say yes sir and yes ma’am” He would be satisfied with that.
My work is another big facet of my life. I have been a molecular biologist for 20 years. With research, not every day brings an exciting discovery and the Nobel committee isn’t about to call but I never lose my fascination with the mysteries of life that hide at the molecular level. Cystic fibrosis, HIV and pulmonary fibrosis are some of the diseases I’ve researched but I may shift my focus to molecular toxicology in the future.
With work and kids, my “off” time is precious. Food, I love to be in the kitchen making a good meal. Weekday dinners during the school year are hurried but when the weekend comes I like to try new recipes. Lately I’ve learned how to make pretty good Southern Indian curry and a good Cajun recipe will get me every time. Out of the kitchen I like to try new area restaurants leaning towards Asian, Greek and Hispanic. I’m still in search of the best tamale around. When time and weather permit I also like to get out and explore. Be it a folk festival 30 miles away, a new art exhibit or a drive through rural byways, I rarely turn down going some place new. Close to home I like to hike, canoe (I have two) and camp when time allows. Being around water….lake, river or stream is always a plus. Vacations with my girls have for the past few years been on a particular maritime island off the coast of South Carolina just south of Charleston, a city I love.
