Date a man from Alabama, United States. Okay, this is the hard part. Normally, I'd rather have a root canal or watch a Nicolas Cage movie marathon than talk about myself (not sure which is more painful). However, this is a dating site, so it comes with the territory. First off, this is not my first time on this site. I was on here in 2010, with mixed results. Overall, it was a good experience, so I'm giving it another shot.
I'm just a good guy looking for a good girl. Oh, if it was only that simple! I consider myself a laid-back person. I prefer to leave drama to the movies and TV. People tell me I have a great sense of humor, but I consider it more the witty type. I tend to keep the people at work laughing, but it just comes natural. I don't act like a clown trying to be funny. I do have a shy side, but that's something that fades pretty quickly after the ice is broken. I consider myself a gentleman, and value character & honesty. I hate trying to describe this stuff. I'm guess you just have to get to know me and decide for yourself.
I'll be turning 38 soon. Not wanting to rush anything, but I'm at the point in my life where I want something long term. I'm looking for quality over quantity. I'm not looking to date a lot of women at one time. That seems like a juggling act. I just hope to meet someone worthwhile, see if we click, and things will work themselves out from there. I'm really just looking for a connection. I'd like to feel those butterflies in my stomach. I haven't had that feeling in quite a while. I'm keeping an open mind, as far as age and looks.
I enjoy most of the things everyone else does. I'm open-minded in that regard. However, I should say I'm not interested in hitting the bars and getting drunk every weekend. I'm too old for that, and it's never really been my thing anyway. I really want to try new things and see new places. While I do enjoy sports, it's not life and death with me. That includes Alabama-Auburn. I know I'm in the minority with that. However, I will root on whichever you want to win!

Reading has always been a big part of my life. I read pretty much anything with a good story, but I usually ready Urban Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Historical Fiction. I've always enjoyed being swept away by a good book. My last good one was by Jim Butcher, I highly recommend him if you are into urban fantasy at all.
My job lies in the tech field, we can't call ourselves engineers anymore, but you get the idea. This means I love gadgets and tech, but I promise I normally don't geek out too much.
