My biggest strength is probably the ability to really listen to people. I make friends easily because I think my genuineness comes through to people.
One of my most profound flaws is over-analyzing things. I want to be better at "living in the moment." I'm hoping the right girl can help me achieve that.
I grew up in Atlanta, went up to metro D.C. for college, and I'm now leading a slightly slower-pace lifestyle in Pike Road. It took a while, but I've carved out a pretty decent niche for myself in Montgomery with some great friends.

Meet single man from Alabama, United States. What up. Guess I've been reading profiles on here for a couple/few months and am realizing I'm pretty generic when writing my profile. And who wants that. We're on here looking for the extraordinary. So here goes, imma rewrite it and go way overboard on the to much info tip. But it's the truth so you can know where I stand in your future plans.
Let me start by speaking of my career. I haven't one. A high percentage of profiles speak of meeting a career oriented man. I am a family oriented man. I value life above all and realize how short it is. That all being said, I do possess a few skills sets that can pay the bills. I'm an avid gardener, capable of growing the very best of everything from tomatoes to okra and occasionally other things in between with a much higher profit margin. In the last few years I've been playing alot of poker to help supplement cash flow n it's kept me out of the other markets I profit in for a while. This tends to b a pattern in my life, work up some money over a season n live it away for awhile then repeat. Im good with this though. I don't have a lot of stuff/junk but I'm happy n positive about my days n life n general. I value not what can b bought. I'm a little out of the box, I won't argue that, but I am respectful of all my blessings and am looking for a variable I cannot live without. So step outta your box of comfort and see if a friendship can spark butterflies. One evening out n we'll know where to stand n who doesn't want to know more n life.

Spend money we don't have on something we don't need
Ever use the word divorce in a fight(I feel a relationship can never be the same once this is viewed as an option)

I hate this part - let me condense everything interesting about myself and what I'm looking for into several sentences that have to catch the attention of the "right" girl. That sounds difficult…but I guess everyone is thinking the same thing when they are writing this.
Here are a few specific things about me:
- I adore my family, especially my nephews and niece - I like hanging out with them because I get to play with toys again and no one looks at me funny.
- I have always thought that dogs understand way more than they let on.
- I travel a lot, professionally and personally - I love road trips, the opportunity to get lost and find something new has always intrigued me.
- I have a special affection for water - I grew up around it and anything from a simple pool to a gorgeous lake or river can capture my attention for any length of time.
- I am financially independent, I have a career, not just a job and I worked hard for it.
- I enjoy the little things - obviously that includes twinkies.
- I'm a Southern boy - I hold doors, say "Ma'am", and family and tradition are important to me.
- I am Blessed - and saved by His grace.
I don't know if I can describe what I'm looking for, but I'm confident that I'll know it when I see it.

As far as what I'm looking for, well not really sure what to say there...I'm sell sufficient in that I have a decent job, house, vehicle and I can cook, clean, laundry on my own so I don't need someone to take care of me...

My short term goal is to retire from the Army in nine more years and then settle down permanently in Texas on about 10-20 acres, raise horses, possibly run for elected office and concentrate on becoming a warbird pilot on the airshow circuit.
