We try to get together at least every couple weeks to go hiking somewhere close. Health is important to me and I try to cook as many meals as possible. I workout 3 times a week and walk 3 1/2 miles a day. I want to live a long life so I can be there for my family and friends. From a family perspective, I believe sitting down at the dinner table even if its just take out. I believe enjoying good food and discussing the day is an important part of family life. I try to spend as much time as possible with my family given our busy schedules. I am often described as a good communicator but sometimes lack tact. I think that communication is imperative to every relationship. I am usually pretty shy until I get comfortable with new situations. I'm usually a go with the flow kind of person. I make schedules and plans but don't get upset if life changes them. I am a very goal driven person and stick to a routine as much as possible. I keep my house fairly clean but sometimes its hard with my son, the dogs, and the constant traffic from family and friends. It doesn't bother me if things get a little messy from time to time as long and its not dirty. I know I won't be sitting on my death bed wishing I had done more housework.
I enjoy the outdoors and love to go camping or hiking. I enjoy nights out on the town and fine dining. I really try not to just sit at home on the weekends but go out and explore. I like trying new things and I am usually up for just about anything once. I have been known to get off work on Friday and with no plans just head out of town to the beach or a new city just to see new things. I consider my self to be a romantic at heart. Ive been know to serve breakfast in bed with a small vase of fresh flowers. I enjoy deep conversation. My ideal date for those special occasions would be going out a fine restaurant, catching a play or a broadway show, maybe meeting up with some friends at a bar afterwards before retiring to the house to soak in the hot tub and drink some wine. The rest of the time I like to keep it light. I really like going out to see a live band with friends on the weekends or just plain old fun. I do prefer to spend more time together than apart although I think that having your own personal time is essential. I am perfectly happing staying in for the night just not every night. When I do stay in, I prefer to spend most of that time either on the porch and in the hot tub chatting it up.
My professional life is pretty simple. I have held a job or worked since I was 14 and have never been unemployed since. Currently, I work for a tech firm and have been with them over 10 years. I am very driven and most of my goals have revolved around work. I'm not even going to try and begin to explain what I do at work because we would be here forever but in general I manage a warehouse, do purchasing, design the logistics and processes the company runs on. If someone can't figure out how to make something happen within the company processes or needs some kind of specialized report they ask me for help. I love my job and it helps to keep my mind sharp since I am constantly having to think of new ways to apply proven concepts.
