Date someone special from Alabama, United States. So Match.com is pretty funny. I got a "match" that said we matched because we "share the same birth month," and "like coffee and conversation." Really?! I hope I don't have to tell my future children (in a Bob Saget voice-over): "Kids, what really did it for me was that your mother was born in April and we both liked Starbucks." (Actually I prefer Dunkin).
I've also noticed that apparently when people aren’t out camping they’re at a wine tasting.
Anyway, hopefully I don't sound cynical. But if you can't laugh about this whole thing what can you laugh about? Speaking of laughing, do you "love to laugh?" Do you like to go out but sometimes like to stay in? Wait, me too! Can you say, "Soul mate"? Okay, okay I'm done, I promise.
As it is, from reading profiles it appears I should be ashamed of my fellow guys on this this site. Who are these flakes you poor girls keep getting set up with? From the sound of it, every dude on here is 50 years old, has a shirtless bathroom pic and an ex he's obsessed with.
Then again there are plenty of you ladies who seem to have a list of demands (you really care what color eyes a guy has?) and have photos that are almost exclusively professional glamor shots, where you're never smiling (I think these are the same girls that claim they "love to laugh"). Actually, I think my favorite are people who put "I'll tell you later" to almost everything, including whether or not they have children! Really? You'll tell me that later?
When I'm not making fun of Match.com or working, I generally always prefer to be around some body of water. I don't travel as much as I'd like and I love driving to random places, especially down back country roads in my jeep. If you think seeing new places and/or history's boring, I'm probably not your guy. Lately most of my trips are back up North to see my family.
I like all sorts of movies but I'd usually prefer an old classic over something just out. I also recently noticed I seem to watch Last of the Mohicans more than is probably normal. I listen to a lot of Country music, but I pretty much listen to any music, depending on my mood; Jay Z for a run, Death Cab on a drive, Kenny Chesney while sitting on a dock. And I love Ryan (not Bryan) Adams.
So that's all I have for now. If I think of anything else I'll let you know.
Oh one more thing. Some people seem to have all sorts of Match rules, like "don't wink" or "don't "like" my pics." Which is kind of funny to me, since I'm thinking, you've come this far, but you're going to draw the line here?
My thoughts are, if you're going to put yourself out there; share your hopes, dreams, and a beach pic from last Summer, go ahead and contact me however you wish. It's not that deep. So "wink," "favorite," email, "like," and IM away. Worst case scenario is I don't think you're for me and I take a pass.

So many people have the wrong idea about people employed in the restaurant business. I can't say that in my younger days I didn't pay a big part in making people think that way.
